We Are Now Administering the Covid-19 Vaccine

We are excited to share the news that our practice has been given the authority to administer the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine. We will start administering the vaccine the week of May 17th, 2021 for patients over the age of 18. Please call our office at 301-715-3257 to schedule your appointment. When calling, please leave a detailed message with your full name, date of birth and best contact number and someone will return your call. Be prepared to spend 15 minutes after the vaccine to be observed. Please only make an appointment if you do not have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19.

Office Re-opening

Dear Patients of Kelly Collaborative Medicine,

The health and wellness of our patients is our top priority, and therefore, limiting the spread of COVID-19 in our community and among our most vulnerable members is of the utmost importance.

Kelly Collaborative Medicine will reopen on Monday, May 18, 2020 for non-urgent medical appointments.  We currently will adhere to the following procedures:

  1. If you are having a medical emergency, you must call 911 or go directly to your closest Emergency Room.
  2. Any patient (New or Established) with cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or other symptoms that could be contagious will be asked to schedule a Telemedicine Visit (Virtual Visit) with Dr. Kelly or the Nurse Practitioner to triage their risk and give appropriate guidance on further testing. If testing is needed, patients will be directed to the appropriate testing facilities within Montgomery County.  If a higher level of care is needed, then patient will be directed to the Emergency Room.   Any patient that is tested should isolate themselves at home until results are processed and received.
  3. Any patient (New or Established) with general health issues or needing Wellness visits may be seen in the office by scheduling an appointment.
  4. Any patient (new or Established) who is uncomfortable coming into the office because of their risk for exposure, can schedule a Telemedicine visit with Dr. Kelly or the Nurse Practitioner.
  5. Non-urgent issues such as medication refills and lab result questions should be directed to the patient portal. It is impractical for Dr. Kelly to call each individual patient, but we will try to accommodate through Telemedicine visits for issues that can not be addressed through the patient portal.
  6. Please continue to only contact the after-hours physician if there are urgent issues. Again, patient with emergent issues requiring immediate attention must call 911 or go immediately to the closest emergency room.
  7. All patients are MUST wear a mask in order to be seen in the office. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you before you enter the office.  Temperatures will be taking prior to entry and febrile patients will be asked to schedule a Telemedicine visit.
  8. Only one family member will be allowed in the office with the patient being seen, if absolutely necessary.
  9. No children allowed in the office unless they are being seen (14-17 years old only).

 

Additionally, all patients are encouraged to continue to adhere to the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Maryland Department of Health on methods to limit transmission of COVID-19 including, but not limited to the following:

  • Frequent handwashing/use of hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Isolation at home if you are having fever
  • Covering your cough.
  • Those with direct exposure to known positive persons should isolate themselves at home for 14 days.

Coronavirus Announcement – Update

Dear Patients,

The health and wellness of our patients is our top priority, and therefore, limiting the spread of COVID-19 in our community and among our most vulnerable members continues to be of the utmost importance.

Pursuant of the Executive Order from Governor Larry Hogan, Kelly Collaborative Medicine will no longer offer in person visits effective March 24, 2020 at 5pm until the end of the catastrophic health emergency.  We will adhere to the following procedures during this time:

  1. If you are having a medical emergency, you must call 911 or go directly to your closest Emergency Room.
  2. Patient needing Urgent in-person care will need to go to a local urgent care center.
  3. Established Patients may be seen for urgent and follow-up visit by scheduling a Telemedicine visit with Dr. Kelly.
  4. Established Patients coming in for Wellness Visits/Physicals will be asked to reschedule.
  5. New Patients needing urgent issues/sick visits will be scheduled through Telemedicine.
  6. New Patients needing Wellness Visits/Physicals will be asked to reschedule.
  7. Patients needing medication refills can call the office and the physician will process all medication requests within 48-72 hours.
  8. Non-urgent questions can continue to be asked and addressed through the patient portal.
  9. Please continue to only contact the after-hours physician if there are urgent issues. Again, patient with emergent issues requiring immediate attention must call 911 or go immediately to the closest emergency room.

Additionally, all patients are encouraged to continue to adhere to the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Maryland Department of Health on methods to limit transmission of COVID-19 including, but not limited to the following:

  • Frequent handwashing/use of hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Isolation at home and only leaving for grocery or urgent issues
  • Covering your cough.
  • Social Distancing of 6 feet when outside of the home.
